On January 29, 2024, the Rotary Club of Kaarst-Korschenbroich celebrated its 40th anniversary—a significant milestone that was marked with a festive atmosphere. In addition to reflecting on four decades of charitable work, the focus of this special evening was our project, the OkukuraGarden .
Our project manager, Sophie, had the wonderful opportunity to present the project in detail. In her presentation, she provided fascinating insights into the project's background, goals, and progress to date. The Okukura Garden is committed to sustainable development, education, and food security for teenagers with unwanted pregnancies and aims to bring about long-term positive change for the community.
The evening's guests showed great interest in our work, and it was inspiring to see how much enthusiasm the project generated. Many took the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the various aspects of the project. These valuable conversations once again demonstrated how important networking and exchange are for the success of such initiatives.
We are extremely grateful to the Rotary Club of Kaarst-Korschenbroich for the invitation and the opportunity to present our passion project in this special setting. The support and interest shown are a great motivation for us to continue developing the Okukura Garden and turning our vision into reality.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this evening an unforgettable experience – here's to many more years of shared commitment and collaboration! 🌿✨
